Celebrating exceptional MOD civilian service, operational commitment and selfless courage.

Who is it for?

Eligible Civilian Staff.

What do I get?

Business Unit Commendations

Non-financial reward mechanism, this can be through a presentation and certificate. Commendation schemes vary and are dependent on where you work in Defence.

Imperial Service Medal

Recognises long service for grades AA/AO and Skill zone grades.

Gallantry Award

Awarded to those who risk their own lives in a selfless way in order to save, or attempt to save the life of someone else.

Campaign or Operational Service Medals

Civilian personnel who complete an operational tour may be eligible.

Honours

Honours are intended to recognise exceptional achievement and/or service.
